Back to School.

"It's Labor Day! The unofficial last day of summer!"

"Should we really be starting a new unit so close to summer vacation?"

"Take Your Daughter to Work Day is no fun when your mother is a teacher."

'Recess is over now, Edward. If you want a longer recess you'll have to get elected to Congress.'

'Dad...why would I ever want to get out of the first grade? I love first grade!'

"Get real Dad, those are LAST years colors!"

"Just think, Nora, every year we go on to a higher grade at school."

"Papi, I figure summer is a waste of time... According to my calculations, if I go to school instead, I'll graduate from high school three years early!"

"I love school! Today, I passed out new books...I passed out tests...I passed out homework assignments."

"I really love school. There's only one problem. I think not having a college degree is holding me back."

Children have difficulty adapting to the return to school.

"I can't believe school ends in three months! Sometimes I wish it would never end. But I guess endings make you appreciate the present."
