"It's Labor Day! The unofficial last day of summer!"

"Should we really be starting a new unit so close to summer vacation?"

"Take Your Daughter to Work Day is no fun when your mother is a teacher."

'Recess is over now, Edward. If you want a longer recess you'll have to get elected to Congress.'

'Dad...why would I ever want to get out of the first grade? I love first grade!'

"Get real Dad, those are LAST years colors!"

"Just think, Nora, every year we go on to a higher grade at school."

"Papi, I figure summer is a waste of time... According to my calculations, if I go to school instead, I'll graduate from high school three years early!"

"I love school! Today, I passed out new books...I passed out tests...I passed out homework assignments."

Ms. Stacke got a low ranking. My mom wants to switch me to a better teacher. Harsh. I like her. Me too. The rankings stink. They skip the important stuff. Like looks. And easy grading.

'I love and appreciate my teacher. Please help me stop disturbing the students when she is teaching.'
