Coin Dealer Buy and Sell. It was a good day for my business. I sold an 1850 U.S. gold dollar for $200. I had paid $125 for it. Yesterday I paid $700 for a Canadian quarter and sold it today for $100. And I sold a Spanish Doubloon for $4000, a $500 profit. This is a tough business and I work hard ... I wish Ernie would stop telling people I make a living by "flipping coins"!
